Thursday, October 6th – all day event of demonstrations, presentations and workshops.
Demonstrations are from 9:30-12:15 in the conference center and feature the following Japanese artists:
Minoru Ishihara – Textiles
Michiko Kitayama – Sumi Ink Painting
Jun Harada – Papermaking
Takako Koike – Ceramics

Other sessions include a hands-on papermaking workshop with Dara Larson, hands-on collaborative art making with Raoul Deal, Robert Camosy on spirituality across cultures, Dimitri Lazo on learning about cultures by studying abroad, an Asian movement workshop with Kathryn Gilbert and David Jacobs of Wisconsin Paperboard Corporation on the Wisconsin paper industry and recycling.

This event is sponsored by the Art and Aesthetic Engagement Departments and is in collaboration with MPS Veritas High School, MPS Community High School and Bucketworks, Inc.
