The Arts Scene on State St.

State St has always been a hub of the visual arts scene in Madison...Lately there are a few new reasons to check out what is happening on State St.

Humanities building 7th Floor Gallery
800 block of State St. (off the Library mall)
MFA shows in an out of the way place. Take the elevators to the 7th floor and turn right.

Chazen Museum of Art
Their address is on University Ave, but if you have a good arm you could throw a rock and hit the building from the 800 block of State St.
Formerly the Elvehjem or LVM, this museum hit the jackpot and will be expanding in the next few years.

Fanny Garver Gallery
230 State St. Across the street from Overture. They have been selling art much of it by Wisconsin Artists since 1972.

James Watrous Gallery of the Wisconsin Academy
201 State St. (in Overture on the third floor)
Cutting edge shows in a prime space.

Community Galleries at Overture Center
201 State St. (in Overture on floors one, two and three)
