2007 Art of Note

Variations on the Theme of One Pear by Audrey Lundquist Paesel
Ten local and nationally known artists donated their talents to support Wisconsin student musicians in the Fourth Annual Art of Note. Using violins which are no longer playable, the artists created works of art which will be raffled or purchased to benefit the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras. Wisconsin artists who donated their work are Renee Gouaux from Stoughton, S.V. Medaris from Mt. Horeb Lone Schopen from Ft. Atkinson, and Audrey Paesel, Tom Loeser, Deborah Sproule, all of Madison. Rongjie Lu, also of Madison, is the WYSO Concert Orchestra violinist who won the student competition to create a violin. Art of Note violins will be exhibited around Madison from February 5 to May 26.
