Christine Style, State President of Wisconsin Visual Artists, presents a gift of a George Raab monoprint to Tom Lidtke, Director Emeritus of the Museum of Wisconsin Art, during a dinner honoring him on January 17th. Tom retired in 2013, but for over 30 years he guided what was once the small West Bend Gallery of Art to become the new MOWA, Museum of Wisconsin Art. His efforts over the decades have helped raise the visibility of artists in Wisconsin to high status, and presented to all of Wisconsinís citizens the new modern building in West Bend, entirely focused on the art of this state. This institution is a source of education and enrichment for all citizens, and a focus for Wisconsin art for the entire country. This would not have come to being without Tomís vision and guidance.
