Arts institutions in Cedarburg collaborate in Three Fine Folk exhibitions

Three arts institutions are collaborating to provide a unified programming approach to four upcoming exhibitions in Cedarburg. Three Fine Folk is the collective title of shows having a joint opening reception time of 5:00-8:00pm, Thurs., Nov.17 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts, and the Cedarburg Art Museum. Folk art in all its permutations will be shown in three simultaneous exhibitions at each of Cedarburg’s three arts institutions. A fourth folk art exhibition will run at the Cedarburg Art Museum Jan. 25 – March 19, 2017. The Art and Craft of Rug Hooking will feature the fiber work of a talented local group that meets monthly and calls itself the Thrum Chums.
