Learn, Interact, and Speak out for the Arts
In addition to speaking up for Wisconsin Creates, Arts Day is a conference full of networking, friend-making, learning, and laughing. You can join WVA president, Tori Tasch, and fellow members of WVA for this opportunity.
WVA member Aaron Wilbers, who manned the WVA table at last year’s event, had the following to say: “Even while being available to provide information about WVA, I had the chance to meet some wonderful people in the Wisconsin art scene, and to learn about art organizations and programs I was unaware of. It is also a good chance to get connected to the political side of making and supporting art in the state.”
Registration is $40 until Feb. 28,
and $45 thereafter, and will include:
• The annual Arts Day Breakfast at the
Overture Center for the Arts
• Discussions and workshops on economic, educational,
leadership, and civic issues in the arts and creativity
• The Idea Center at Overture, featuring sponsor exhibits, art-
making with Wisconsin artists, and more
• A poetry reading by the 2017-2019 Wisconsin Poet Laureate,
• The Rabin Youth Arts Awards, presented by the
Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras
• Constituent meetings with legislators and administration
officials, throughout the day

There will also be a Pre-Arts Day Wisconsin Creative Summit on Wednesday, March 8, 1:00-5:00pm, at the Overture Center - a mini-conference of networking, learning and idea-sharing.
