Little Elf House
Laurie Talbot Hall holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Photography and a Doctorate of Psychology Degree with emphasis in personality. She has taught at the University of Iowa School of Art and Art History and the D.H. Lawrence Program of the University of New Mexico. She was awarded an American Photography Institute Fellowship at NYU. Her art work ranges from large format photography to room-sized installation to tiny mixed media assemblage. Hall's work finds coherence in the subject matter: the internal psychological experience of the individual as one negotiates physical, social and intrapersonal environments. Hall has exhibited widely, is represented in public and private collections and in publications of The American Photography Institute, Magic Silver, Lifework Arts Press, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, the National Women's Caucus for Art and The University of New Mexico. She is a Lifetime Member of the National Women's Caucus for Art.
