Drawing and painting have always been an enjoyable experience for me. I received a BS in Art from the UW Madison in 84 and went on to make a living as a graphic designer. I was fortunate to be able to retire from the graphic design position and focus primarily on my art. During this period I have been able to explore different mediums, while taking painting workshops, classes and discovering the joys of painting plein-air with other artists. Currently my two favorite mediums are oils and soft pastels. Subject matter can vary from landscapes to portraits. Bringing fresh color and capturing the light with intentional marks on canvas or paper is a goal for each painting. I am excited to continue on this path of art.
