For the Time, Being
Katherine Steichen Rosing’s quiet, rhythmic paintings abstracted from forests and patterns of water explore cycles of transformation, growth, and decay. Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States and abroad, including: Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, Washington D.C., Tokyo, and Beijing. Rosing earned an MFA at Northern Illinois University, and teaches College Transfer Art at Madison Area Technical College, and Painting and Color Studies at University of Wisconsin Madison—Division of Continuing Studies in the Arts. She is a native of Wisconsin currently living in Madison and has also lived and worked in Chicago, and Denver. Her work is represented by Grace Chosy Gallery in Madison and may be seen on the web at
