An eclectic person with diverse interests, I grew up interested in everything, but especially the arts (literature, music, art, dance, theatre, and movies), all of which I have continued to avidly pursue. I spent my first 22 years in Rochester, New York, and received a BA in English from the University of Rochester. I spent the next 22 years in Chicago, where I received an MA (and was a PhD candidate) in Classics from the University of Chicago. I later took 47 evening and weekend art classes at the American Academy of Art in Chicago.
In 1994, I moved to Madison, Wisconsin, joined several art clubs, and have exhibited my work at various shows and in a number of galleries. In addition to Wisconsin Visual Artists, I am a member of the Madison Art Guild, the Madison Watercolor Society, the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association, and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America.
