Grrr Kitty tees and more at the Spring Art Tour!
For the past eleven years I have lived on a farm in the Driftless area of Southern Wisconsin with my family, amidst chickens, dogs, cats, peafowl, turkeys, and pigs from which I draw inspiration for life and art. After nine successful solo exhibitions in six years, each of them focused on domestic animal husbandry (A One Chick Show, The Lives of Farm Dogs, The Whole Hog, Corn-Fed), I am currently investigating historical changes in livestock rearing. With various printmaking and mixed-media techniques, the artwork explores breed genetics, feed consumption, processing, and how it affects the food we eat.
