I am an energetic creative artist and educator with K-12 through Higher Education teaching experience, with the knowledge to encourage and inspire creativity in my students and deepen their appreciation for the visual arts. My skills and background in creating art and curricula and lessons that engage and challenge students of all ages and abilities.
My influences are the result of growing up surrounded by the bluffs and rivers of the La Crosse area, and travels across the country, and beyond. My experience encompasses a wide range of media including painting (oil, water mixable oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media), ceramics (high fired and low fired) and photography (digital and black and white). I am inspired by artists of the Renaissance and Impressionist period, and integrating materials and ideas of present day into my works of art. I am passionate about teaching what I have learned with my many eager students.
Education: Masters in Education and Professional Development, emphasis Art education for adult learners. Bachelors in Science in Studio Art, minor in Photography
