"Monarch Sanctuary," a 16x20 oil painting is on display at the Neville Public Museum 72nd Art Annual juried exhibition. The painting was done en plein air and depicts a field of wildflowers in the full bloom of July. Works by 36 artists were chosen from submissions open to artists in 24 counties of northeastern Wisconsin plus 14 counties of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Helen Klebesadel of Madison was the juror. Gilchrist is an award-winning painter from Sturgeon Bay. More of her work may be seen at Wisconsin Arts Gallery in Green Bay.
