Presented by the Islamic Art Revival Series in partnership with Irving Arts Center, the 6th Annual Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Islamic Art is a program of the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation. This prestigious international exhibition of artwork is inspired by Islamic culture, art, literature and architecture and features works in a variety of styles and media from artists around the world. Coming from diverse backgrounds, with varying faiths, ages and levels of expertise, the exhibition aims to present Islamic art as a universal language, a translator and connector of generations and cultures.
IARS is pleased to announce Dr. Linda Komaroff as the esteemed juror for this year’s exhibition. Dr. Komaroff is one of the best known Curator of Islamic Art in the USA. She is a Senior Curator at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in Los Angeles, California. Linda Komaroff has served as LACMA’s curator of Islamic art since 1995.
