Paul Yank: Process & Perspective: This exhibition of sculpture and prints pays tribute to Yank’s role as an arts leader and mentor for more than 50 years in Cedarburg. Whether working in forged and welded metal and colored glass or multiple layers of intaglio inks in monoprints, Yank’s process often involves multiple perspectives to achieve varying results. Yank has always had an affinity for multiplicity of cultures around the world, which can be seen in much of his work.
From China With Love: Hand-Colored Photographs and Letters Home, 1919-21: This collection of photographs was created by Clarence and Florence Farnham Dittmer of Antigo, WI while they were living and working in China in the early 20th century. While in China, Clarence used his camera to record their experience, and then he and Florence carefully embellished them with color.
Altered Scale: Sculpture by Richard Taylor: Richard Taylor's standing sculptures are comprised of enigmatic symbols in life-size, altered, proportions. Some incorporate chess symbols to signify choices, while others respond to Taylor's appreciation of jazz musicians and composition.
