“Alive in the Arts” is Plymouth Arts Center's 23rd annual juried exhibition showcasing Wisconsin Fine Artists. Juror Deborah Rosenthal selected nearly 80 pieces from 202 entries to be included in the exhibition. The exhibit is generously sponsored by Wisconsin Bank & Trust and 20/20 Visions, Dr. Sharon Roberts and Dr. Bradley Wicklund. “Alive in the Arts” will be on display through August 3, 2018.
Entries to this annual competition were received from 108 WI artists, (a record-breaking number,) living and working all over the state of Wisconsin. One Thousand dollars in cash awards was presented at the awards ceremony. Juror, Deborah Rosenthal, holds a M.A. degree in Art History from the University of Arizona and a B.F.A. in printmaking and drawing from Illinois Wesleyan University. She is newly retired from twenty-four years as Curator of Exhibitions & Collections at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, WI where she planned and installed more than 150 exhibits and oversaw the permanent collection. She writes about art and artists and is an occasional painter and printmaker.
Gallery 110 North is located in the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street in historic downtown Plymouth. Celebrating its 25 Anniversary this year, the PAC is the leading arts destination in Western Sheboygan County. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4 pm, Saturday and Sunday, Noon-3 pm, or by special appointment. Closed Mondays and Holidays.
